The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) created the Researcher Handbook to serve as a roadmap for researchers navigating the complex research environment at the University of Iowa.  

This guide directs to users to resources for: 

• getting started; 
• applying for the appropriate approvals; and 
• conducting research in compliance with applicable government laws and regulations as well as university policies and procedures.
