1.  Are there databases available for me to use to search for external funding?

Faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and students at the University of Iowa have access to Pivot-RP, an online funding database. Pivot-RP helps researchers and administrators: 

  • Save time finding funding opportunities that match their research
  • View opportunities matched to their profiles
  • Organize and track funding searches to build short- and long-term strategies
  • Identify potential collaborators with relevant expertise

2.  Whom can I contact?

For questions about locating funding sources using Pivot-RP, contact the Research Development Office (RDO) at VPR-RDO@uiowa.edu.  

3.  Do you offer training on how to use the database?

The RDO offers monthly training sessions, alternating between in-person and virtual.

Graduate and professional students can use Pivot-RP to identify potential funding opportunities.
