1. What support is available if I have questions about the performance review process, conducting a review or working to develop a staff member's performance?
Several performance management resources are available to supervisors and staff members to assist you with your role in performance management, including just-in-time coaching, workplace consultations, online resources and instructor-led courses and series.
2. What if I am experiencing challenges with my staff?
Reach out to your unit's Human Resources representative for assistance.
Employee and Labor Relations is available to consult regarding performance improvement strategies, clarifying expectations, investigations and discipline. (elr-help@uiowa.edu or 319-335-0052)
The Office of the Ombudsperson provides informal conflict resolution, mediation services and advocacy for fair treatment and fair process.
The Conflict Management at Iowa web site can be another useful resource.
A Supervisory Helpline is available for questions, resources, and brief consultations at 335-2085.
