1. What do I need to know to transition new staff members?
Onboarding is The University of Iowa’s process for welcoming and supporting new staff as they transition to a new job.
Supervisors and employees have access an array of useful just-in-time resources and information on the onboarding site. An additional supervisor resource is the New UI Supervisors: Starting Successfully online course in ICON.

A checklist to help you orient a staff member to the type and manner of work they will be doing, as well as the expectations of their work can be found at https://hr.uiowa.edu/careers/onboarding/new-employee-orientation/general-orientation-checklist.
3. How do I get a staff member oriented to the location at which s/he will be working?
